I took up my post as the new head of our school with a lot of attention and a definite enthusiasm within a German and French European context. At the time of my previous mission for the AEFE (An official body dedicated to French Teaching Abroad), I was the French Section Head at the Taipei European School - Taiwan - a three section campus: German, British and French, in which I could truly start to understand the international dimension of a French school abroad... a fact that cannot be ignored.
It will be to both German school (GESM) and French school a real advantage to develop their partnership. 2008-09 academic induction ran quite well at the EFM-EIS. I could assess the scale of dynamism and professionalism of all the personnel implied in this success : teachers, EIS united services (financial and maintenance departments) and my own administrative collaborators. All of them can be proud to contribute to our establishment smooth functioning and thus to the well-being and the success of all our students.
My own discovery of the French School of Manila and Eurocampus known as the "European International School" is obviously very recent but everyone must be certain that I get busy to study and understand them both with a lot of vigilance and determination, in order to implement the EFM establishment project and to take care and insure the good continuity of our students’ trainings and results.
I wish a great academic school year to you all: students, parents and EFM-EIS staff, because nowadays, everyone knows all the importance for each member of the educational community to find his own place and play his part advisedly in order to make every student, the today’s child, become the happy and accomplished adult of tomorrow !
