collection
- French section (included are
English books and documentaries and IB books): 12.000 items / 12.651 with cancelled items. Some VHS 105 cassettes-
- German section (included are English books and
documentaries and IB books): 6.000 items / 6.791 with cancelled items. There are also some
VHS 150 cassettes- that students can borrow and soon, thanks to Mrs. Claudia
Broghammer-Koch project, DVDs in German more than 25 to start with, more will
follow-.
- IB section (including German 67, French 98 and English
203 all together): 368 books
Thus, we presently have a total of about 18.368 items
and 255 videos in the EIS library collection.
Library rules and regulations
To: All E.I.S. users (teachers, students, personnel and parents)
I. Basic rules
Respect of other users, personnel, books and materials of E.I.S. Library.
It means:
- No shouting, drinking,
eating, running, loud playing, and any other activities that might disturb other users or
cause damage to materials and books.
- No cell phone is allowed inside
the library (Silent mode activated for received text messages and calls).
- No irregular and inappropriate
behaviour is allowed inside the library (e.g. violence towards users or personnel, obvious
misconduct due to the state of inebriation or drugs)
Failure to comply with one or more of the above basic rules will induce sanctions
against the delinquent user (whether teacher, student, personnel or parent).
II. The sanctions
· The student submit a summary/
presentation of the item when it is overdue.
· Full payment or replacement of
a lost or damage item:
- 500 php for a fiction or
documentary that cannot be replaced (not published any more).
- 250 php for a serial (magazine
or newspaper).
- 700 php for a video or 500 php
(for an old copy)
· Temporary or definitive
interdiction to access and use the library premises and services in case of a repeated
serious misconduct already reprimanded with warnings.
Note: Failure to return an item on time induce that the user cannot borrow until he gets a clearance from the library.
III. Lending regulations
Opening hours of the E.I.S. library:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 to 15:30
Friday: 7:30 to 14:30
The library is closed during the school breaks, the summer vacation and on special
occasions (in that particular case it is always announced a few days before)
