French-English curriculum for 4/5 and 5/6-year-old children

A program wherein the curriculum defined by the French Ministry of Education is taught in French  and in English.

This program aims to develop the pupils’ capacity to express themselves in both languages .

The class is handled by 2 teachers, both fluent speakers of the language in which they  teach.

Conditions of  admission to this program

-    commitment of the family that the child will complete the 2 years minimum,         duration of the 1st part of the program
-    assessment by the faculty and approval.

The faculty  regularly  evaluates each child’s progress  with the aim to determine how this bilingual program is beneficial to the growth of the child.

Incoming students will undergo an assessment test.

Evaluation

Conducted in accordance with the common European framework for languages.

The report card (Livret Scolaire) indicates the child’s acquisition of competencies in  both languages.

Project monitoring and follow-up

Regularly evaluated by a team of educational professionals involved in similar projects in other French schools in South-East Asia.  This team of teachers is coordinated by a regional inspector who is in charge of the monitoring and may eventually adjust the curriculum.
